Congratulations FSN

Congratulations to Flower Shop Network on their recent success at the Paragould/Greene County Chamber Of Commerce Industrial Appreciation Golf Tournament. FSN Team members, along with a chamber of commerce VIP, shot a smooth -11 under 59 in the four person scramble tournament to land in a 3 way tie for first place with teams from Emerson Electric and American Railcar Industries in Paragould, AR. Prior to the tournament, chamber officials chose a random hole to break ties and Flower Shop Network won the scorecard playoff.

This was FSN’s first appearance in the tournament, and I must say that we didn’t expect to finish first… we just kept making birdies again, and again and again. 11 of them in fact with 7 pars, no bogeys. It was really just enough not to have to work yesterday afternoon… winning on our first year in the tournament and the free PR was just an added bonus!

Here’s looking to holding on to the traveling trophy for the coming year and going after it again next year.

You’ve Got To Love Open Source

Recent followup announcement on the Google & Sun Microsystems ‘partnership‘. In short Sun is going to package the Google toolbar along with downloads of the Java JRE in an effort to expand reach of the toolbar. I too see them gunning for Microsoft, as both companies push open source software.

Google doesn’t plan on using their own money to squeeze MS, they are going to use your advertising dollars. Interesting concept. I figure Sergey and Brin have all the money they need for the next, oh say…. 100 years or so anyway.

Busy - Busy

Its been awhile since my last post. Wow - things sure have been busy around here, work, family, golf tournaments. I’ll get back on track this week though.

Look for upcoming posts about the Kennett Country Club 2005 Semo Cup golf tournament and some new site projects that I have slated in the very near future.
