Ran across a really grand article in my WebProNews email newsletter regarding Goodmail.
Working for a company that sends lots of email (opt-in, and CAN-SPAM compliant, of course) to our members and opt-in subscribers, I can definitely see that this will have an impact on small businesses that thrive because of open and legitimate email marketing - and I have difficulty to see how the end user will benefit by allow the large ISP’s to do so. I can’t say that I like the occasional SPAM messages that actually make it through the filters we use, but the idea of taxing bulk email senders to guarantee delivery just seems to rub me the wrong way.
